| Do not be afraid (08/08/04- night)

Text: Matthew 28: 1- 10
Introduction.
- On a Sunday, very early. It was supposed to be a sad walk.
- They went to see grave. Seek in the cemetery a person who is alive.
- What happen in this meeting between the angel, Maria Magdalene and the other Maria?
- "He is not here".
- News for the first page of the newspaper.
- News that Jesus had already anticipated.
- Matthew 17:22-23. Jesus spoke about that in Galilee.
- Matthew 20: 17-19. Jesus spoke about it going to Jerusalem.
- But they did not believe. Or did not remember anymore.
| 02. | An invitation. Matthew 28:6b |
- "Come and see the place where he lay."
- The empty cross and now the empty grave.
- Matthew 26:32. Jesus announced even the place where He would be after ressurrection.
- What religion has these foundations?
| 03. | An order. Matthew 28:7 |
- "Go quickly"
- Receive work. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus confirms that this work is for everybody.
- Let's see Acts 8:4. The order is to go in all places.
- Gospel is to be shared. Matthew 28:8 "great joy"
- This is what the gospel produces.
| 04. | A promise. Matthew 28:7b |
- "He goes ahead of you". As a shepherd who guides his sheep.
- "There you will see him". In Galilee, the same place that he had already said. Matthew 17.
- Matthew 28:8. The women did not doubt.
- Matthew 28:2. The stone was removed, not for Jesus to leave, but for the women to go in. That's power.
| 05. | An experience. Matthew 28: 9 |
- "Suddenly Jesus met them"
- Matthew 28:9b, true adoration.
- I Corinthians 15: 12-19. The resurrection is the foundation of the Christian faith.
Conclusion.
- This night I tell him you news. Jesus is alive.
- This night I make an invitation. Come to Jesus. Matthew 11:28
- This night we receive an order. Go. Matthew 28: 18-20
- Power, Go, I'll be with you. The "sandwich of God".
- This night you have this promise. Here you will see him.
- You fulfill a commandment and get attached to a promise.
- This night you can have an experience with Jesus.
- Matthew 28:9 "So the women hurried away. .." "... Jesus met them..."
- It's like this until our days. He comes to meet us.
- Worship him from now on.
- He is rich in love. "Go and tell my brothers". Matthew 28: 10.
- Those who had abandoned him, He calls brothers.
