Text: Exodus 7:14-25

Introduction:

3 initial considerations about the text:

  1. Pharaoh was seen as a divinity. The pyramids exemplify that.
  2. The harden of the heart of Pharaoh served for firm the faith of the people.
  3. The pests in the Egypt were related with "signs and miracles"

Exodus 7:8-13 - Pharaoh was not impressed with the transformation of the stick to a snake.
Exodus 7:15 - Pharaoh went to the margins of the river for "bless" the waters.
Exodus 7:17 - THE threat.
Exodus 7:19 - THE proclamation.
Exodus 7:20 - THE execution.
Exodus 7:22 The witches did the same. They were not able to put an end to the pest. They copy and make the situation worse. Application: There is a good way to know if a religion is good. See if it better or worsen the life of a persons.

3 important lessons of the text:

  1. The punishments are accumulated to the extent of human resistance. Exodus 7:23
  2. The false religions, they try imitate the truth to conquer the faithful.
  3. God separates his people from the one who refuses to accept the gospel. Go I Peter 2:9 . We are the estate of God.
