Our Acts and the Acts of God - (10/30/05 - Night)

Text : Psalm 34: 1-9.

Introduction.

Psalm 34:1 . "At all times."
When there is happiness,we bless God.When sadness comes, we blaspheme against Him.
We are incoherent because sin has spoiled us.
There is a great relation between our acts and the acts of God.

01. If we seek God, He will set us free.

- Psalm 34:4.
We would rather trust in our human resources many times.
God is power and we cannot send Him away.
Isaiah 55:6 . It is a warning. We cannot miss the opportunity.
Illustration: Daniel 6:10,16 and 27.
As we seek God , we have experiences.

02. If we contemplate God,He will light our way.

Psalm 34:5
-Illustration:
1) Genesis 3:8. From intimacy to escaping from the presence of God.
2) Leviticus 26 : "you can walk free with your heads held high."
- John 9:24-25. I was blind and now I see.Light.

03. If we dread God,He will care for us.

Psalm 34:9
To dread= reverence, praise. It is not fear.
As years go by,people are hardening their hearts or becoming profoundly broken-hearted.
Men consider themselves as "little gods."

Conclusion

Psalm 34:18
"Broken heart."It is the opposite of arrogance.
Arrogance= to worship yourself. It becomes impossible to worship God.
Conversion: It deeply affects the ego.
Need for repentance.Remorse,guilt,sorrow for sinning.
Mark 8:34 . "If anyone wants..."
If we seek Him,He will free us.
If we contemplate Him...He will light our way.
If we dread Him...He will take care of us.
There is a deep relation between our acts and the acts of God.

Help us to serve you better
