Introduction:
 
We have many enemies. Let’s highlight the main 3.
We can only neutralize these enemies by being firm in Jesus.
Jesus also confronted them and was victorious over them.

01. The Devil ( I John 2:14 )
 
Ephesians 6:16. “fiery arrows”. With poison.
I Peter 5:8-9. “looking for some victim to devour”
I John 4:4. Greater is the one who lives in us
Jesus: Luke 4:1-2

02. The World ( I John 2:15 )
 
There are 3 words in the Bible referring to the world.
The cosmos: Nature created by God in Genesis
Pleasures: What results from sin.
People: John 3:16, “For God so loved the world…”. Souls
Galatians 6:14. Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we belong to God, not to this world.
John 17:16. Jesus confirms our new nature. We belong to God, not this world.
John 16:33. Jesus overcame the world.
 
03. The Flesh ( I John 1:16)
 
Not merely the sins committed from a social perspective. But everything that results from the damage sin has done in our lives.
Romans 7:14-19. Paul’s drama is also ours.
Galatians 5:17. Our body is a battle field.
Luke 4. When Jesus was tempted, He faced the temptation of the flesh.
Stones into Bread: Appetite. Receive the kingdoms of this world: Power. Worship the Devil: Being in the kingdom of hell
