Onion is well known and useful in the kitchen. It serves as a seasoning. There are people, which I don't eulogize, that eat them raw. The "Onion Christian" is known by its peculiarity. Have no contents. It's only the peel, layer over layer. The "Onion Christian" is the one who presents an exterior appearance and that is it! It doesn't have an spiritual content. Their spiritual lives are mere layers, very fragile. To peel onions make us cry. Another characteristic of the "Onion Christian" is that he never produces joy but provokes tears. Never gives a complimentary word, but makes us cry. Never comforts and consoles other Christians in difficulty but complicates the life of the church. He is a critic, and a bitter person. Although there are people who eat raw onions, particularly, I don't like it. If I bite a piece of onion, I lose my appetite and it gives me nausea. The "Onion Christian" is also like this, he displeases. There are members of the church who don't build anything up but destroys. What a strange thing: There are Christians who don't fight, but will malign the work of the Lord. Are you an "Onion Christian"? Let this superficiality seek for contents. Read the Word of God to create more than a mere layer of Christian life. Cultivate pity and Christian mercy. It's easy to put yourself in the position of a critic. Put yourself in the position of one who builds up. Instead of making people cry, get together with God's people and be joyful with our joy and cry with our sadness. What about improving your spiritual life? Pr. Isaltino G. Coelho Filho. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
