In Jeremiah 17 , the bible talks about 2 types of people; the cursed and the blessed.
Cursed means condemned. It's the one who trusts in man or in himself, "flesh of his strength".
Samson, as a judge, thought that with a fresh jawbone of a donkey ( Judges 15:15 ) he could resolve everything. How many times we think and act this way.
The bush in Jeremiah 17:6 is a plant in the desert and gives the idea of nakedness, has no beauty. Many people live like this. Trust in them, has neither beauty nor abundant life.

In Psalm 1:3 we find this same teaching. The blessed one is full of vitality. They have deep roots and give a lot of fruits. In John 15 Jesus repeats this: "Apart from me you can do nothing". He is the true vine and we are the branches.

Do you desire to be blessed? Trust more and only in the Lord. Wait for his solutions for you.
Make use of your New Year's resolution and pray Jabez' Prayer ( I Chronicles 4:10-11 ). Say to the Lord that you desire to be blessed and to be a blessing.
