Mission Statement:
To develop a vehicle through which every adolescent will hear the Gospel in a culturally acceptable fashion and have an opportunity to mature spiritually.

* Culturally acceptable fashion: sharing the Gospel via methods which are acceptable top both the community and the church.
* Spiritual maturity: to be measured by the five following observable characteristics:

Objectives:

• To coordinate the youth activities, seeking their spiritual, fraternal, social and emotional growth. To stimulate them to a devotional life and constant study of the Bible;
• To promote seminars, retreats, debates, studies of the Word of God, etc. To promote solidarity, fraternity, and integration of the youth within the group and the church;
• To promote Christian growth of the youth in their daily lives, in their testimony, and in their work at the church.

Vision Statement:

At Kearny Baptist Church, we envision a comprehensive youth ministry which targets Portuguese speaking youth, but pursues all youth, in our community and disciples them to Christian maturity.
We envision developing both the newly converted as well as established believers into fully functioning followers of Christ through Sunday school, youth groups, a campus (school based) Bible club and special activities.
We envision growing our church through the youth program.
We envision developing leaders among our youth which will be adequately prepared to lead small groups which are the product of cell division.
We envision a youth program which encourages Christian higher education in order to ensure the development of a Christian world * view in the minds of our youth.
We envision the youth of our church going on to become leaders in their various fields with a fully developed Christian world * view making an impact on the world for Christ.
